When my husband and I planned a stay in Palm Springs, relatives discouraged us by saying that it's too hot there and that "there is nothing to see".

We had nice temperatures in early April (86°F) and we visited interesting spots such as the San Jacinto Mountains... |
| | the Indian Canyons, the Museum of Art and the Air Museum.
There are a lot more of must do's in the area, and we'll have to come back to see all the rest.
