"What a scenery!" New Mexico by Martinewezel
New Mexico Travel Guide: 4,044 reviews and 9,776 photos
Driving to Albuquerque on the interstate 40, we thought New Mexico was nothing but rocks and desert.
Nothing is further from the truth. Once we turned off the highway and drove into the mountains, we saw the most beautiful sceneries...
The Turquoise trail is full of surprises. See for instance this old barn and Ford T, full of dust. It was like walking in a movie.
Little trading post in Madrid, where we bought some souvenirs.
- Pros:A state where people still have time...
- Cons:Extremely hot and dry in Summer

Martine...I really want to explore here..its on my list..and Utah also.. Great tips...I'm wondering if you're wearing a hat this week on the beach??
Nice page on New Mexico -- a state that I would definitely like to visit someday. For breakfast, though, I think I will pass on the Fruit Loops. :) Cheers, Bill
Hi Martine, welcome back. It looks like you were rating my Spiez tips at the same time I was rating your New Mexico tips. When I was in college I used to work in New Mexico during the summers, so your fine tips brought back some memories.
Cerillos...you brought back a memory, I used to go there to pan for gold in a stream nearby when I was a teenager. I am glad you were here. Also Jemez and madrid--you really got to see America. You deserve 6 stars.
Nice page!
Martine, thanks for the ratings and nice comment on my ABQ page. You did very well on your visit to NM. Madrid and the Jemez area are two of the better places.
You look like you got a nice taste (literally) of New Mexico .... come on back and we'll show you more!! Thanks for visiting my Madrid page ........ we seem to agree that it is a wonderful place!!!
What a great trip: to see all those places!
A great page on your New Mexico visit! Your Madrid photos are awesome! It is quite the place and I too simply had to stop for a look as I was passing through it !
Have to check out the wines :-) Prachtige fotos van het trein museum!!
