Atria Novotel Annecy Centre: Excellent location close to the station Atria Novotel Annecy Centre Review

The rooms are neat and clean, just like in any other hotel from the Novotel group. But beware for the matress... just as in any Novotel, it's rock-hard. Question of preferences.
The hotel is built over the tracks of the station. We don't really like to sleep with AC, so we switched it off and opened the window. We found out to our cost :-) All through the night we heard the shrill tones of train brakes riding up and down under our window. The switch was a few meters up. The attraction of sleeping over the tracks...
I must be honest: the windows have triple or quadruple glazing. When closed, everything is quiet.

Hotel Imperial Palace: 10 minutes walk from Old Town Hotel Imperial Palace Review

We regret we couldn't stay in this hotel. We are late bookers and that's why we had to settle for the hotel in the next tip.
Anyway, we couldn't resist visiting l'Impérial Palace, where we had tea on the terrace. The setting is exceptional, at the shore of the lake and facing the Alps. The hotel is surrounded by a wonderful garden full of flowers. It's located a bit out of the center of Annecy, but only a fair walk of about 10 minutes.

Unique Qualities: The hotel has a casino and different restaurants.
