Getting TO/AROUND: Chicago's Free Trolleys run year round providing service between the Museum Campus, Michigan Avenue and Navy Pier about every half hour. They also connect to CTA, Amtrak and Metra stations. No ticket is needed; just catch a trolley (there's a sign in the window) at any stop marked with a "Free Trolley" sign

Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sundays, September through May; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, June, July, August.

Getting TO/AROUND: A fleet of 64 San Francisco-style trolleys and London double-decker buses take riders on a one-hour tour of downtown and lakeshore attractions. You can get off at any scheduled stop to visit attractions and later pick up the tour where you left off. Regular stops include Sears Tower, the Art Institute, the Museum Campus, the Museum of Science and Industry, River North, Navy Pier, Lincoln Park Zoo and the Water Tower.

Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily every 15 minutes.
Admission: $20 for adults, $17 for seniors and $10 for children. Two day passes are $25 for adults and seniors, $10 for children.
