There are several businesses that might bring you to Sayre. One is a large hospital. There are several places to stay other than Best Western so PLEASE!!!! look around and check for bed and breakfast places as well as hotels in Elmira, New York. DON'T EAT AT THE BEST
WESTERN IT"S TOO EXPENSIVE AND NOT WORTH THE $$$MONEY$$$$

*You HAVE to try a double cheese whammy with red sauce and lettuce at Nocchis hoagie stand of Keystone Ave.
* Alligers has the best chicken wings with tons of different flavors and is located on Spring Street, Sayre
*if you have kids that are looking for great pizza, try Howies on Keystone Ave. in Sayre
*Best Breakfast is at the Town Diner on Cayuta Street and 17 C
*Our Family Diner on 17 C in Waverly, New York is "damned good" according to my dad and about $4.50 for a GREAT breakfast. You can get breakfast until 8pm
*We don't have a chain steak house, but try the Candle Lite on Elmira street in Athens, just 2 miles away
*only fast foods are McDonalds, Dominoe's Pizza,Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and Pizza Hut on Keystone Avenue in Sayre and Wendy's, Subway and Burger King on Elmira Street in Sayre.

Pennsylvania Ave. Sayre
*All around restaurant and lounge is Beman's on Elmira Street Sayre,
from hamburgers to Prime Rib

NOT MUCH!!! BUT>>>it is a small quaint town and there is lot;s of historic sights within 25-30 miles. Including corning glass museum,

*US Coach center with the Jackles hockey team
the finger lake wine country
If you are here in town and can't go anywhere, we have the Sayre Theatre right across the park from the hospital
*Keystone Skating Rink on Keystone Ave in Sayre open Fri 7-10pm, Sat. 11am-1pm and Sat. 7pm-10pm admission without skates is $4.50 and $3.50 with skates
*There is the Valley Bowling Center in Waverly, New York, just two miles from Sayre. They also have Rock'n'bowl on Friday and Saturday nights from 9PM-12 midnight. Cost is $10 per person and RESERVATIONS IS A MUST!!!!
Other than typical bars and lounges, that's all there is to do.
*Elk's Lodge in Sayre across from CVS pharmacy
*Moose Lodge is on Keystone Ave
*Son's of Italy on Desmond Street
*Mason's Waverly, N.Y.
*Small putt-putt and large golf course is just over Waverly Hill, 17 C West.
Go shopping at K-Mart or Wal-Mart both on either ends of Elmira Street

*Great dentist is Dr. Picco, one street behind the Valley Bowling center in waverly
*Dr. Hoda is a great family physician

• Pros:small, quaint and beautiful in the summer, fall and spring lot's of personal attention at the above places
• Cons:downtown parking, not enough! no big stores, restaurants or nothing
• In a nutshell:small town and we mean it!!!! but very nice if you go to the right places!
