Trebic is a charming town a bit away from the beaten path. Its main fature is the impressive basilica but you mightwant to visit only because of its unique pretty small town atmosphere and the surroundings. You can take some very interesting easy hikes crossing the river and climbing the nearby hills. It's really pretty with some great views. A little more than one hour by train from Brno.
