Peurto de Soller is located about 5 kilometres from Soller which itself is about 50 kilometres from Palma. It consists of a quiet, enclosed port on one side complete with fishing boats, and the Mallorcan mountain range on the other.
There are many restaurants and bars to choose from although this place is significantly quieter than the other parts of Mallorca. There are no nightclubs here which has to be a good thing.
This place is favoured by the older visitor to Mallorca. Teen-agers should steer well clear of this place as there is very little going on, which is the main attraction for most visitors here. Boat trips run to neighbouring bays from the port.
- Pros:Climate, scenery
- Cons:Still a bit too touristy for people seeking a really quiet life.
- In a nutshell:More mature visitors to Mallorca could do worse than visit Soller
