Not far from my home, directly in the middle of Kiiu village is ancient small castle, called Tower of the Monk. It was built in beginning of XVI century by local landmaster, who originally came from Friesland. The tower was restored in 1974-75, but when I was kid, one old lady kept there her cows... Now the tower is restored to it's original shape and there is very nice and cosy cafe, beloved as well by local people as by tourists.
Pros and Cons
- Pros:Easy to reach from E20 Highway
- Cons:In wintertime can be quite cold
