French Lick is a small village in the hills of southern Indiana. There is very little level ground anywhere, everything is on the side of a hill. Population about 2200. one stop light, no McDonalds or Walmart. Kind of like stepping back 50 years.
once famous in the 20s and 30s as a gambling town with casinos. most famous for Springs Hotel and resort once visited by boxer Joe Lewis. Home of Basketball player Larry Bird. Great place to live away from hustle and bustle.
