Visit of the Pelkor Chöde monastery This big city is where one of Tibet's most important monasteries lies. It is a stop along almost any trip in Tibet, and is definitely an interesting place to visit. The fortifications around the city are very impressive. In all, the whole place feels much more authentic than Lhasa, which is gradually rebuilt by the Chinese. |
