"Guilin - Picturesque Landscape" Guilin by vincentf
Guilin Travel Guide: 466 reviews and 1,224 photos
Guilin, one of the most visited cities of all of China due to its unique landscape of the hills and rivers. It is located in the northern region of Guangxi Autonomous Region. The city ranks third in population (1.2 million) in Guangxi.
Guilin is famous for its local Guilin rice noodles. It is similar to spaghetti due to its thick circular strands. Other famous foods include hot pepper sauce, taro root and fermented bean curd.
The Li River is the meandering river that cuts right through Guilin at the city centre. At night, fisherman catch fish by using cormorant birds. It is an interesting way of catching fish (using bird's beaks to catch fish).
- Cons:Too much commercialism
- In a nutshell:Mystical landscape surrounding the city
