As in my other 3 homes (Puerto Rico, Minnesota, Chicago), I am still a tourist here after 5 years. Unbelievable? You won´t think so after visiting this great city.
When my family and friends ask me which city in the states compares to Barcelona, I always say Chicago, but with a huge difference, or actually, SEVERAL: Temperatures are a lot more stable, never going below 0ºC or above 40ºC. The is a beautiful ocean close to everywhere you go. But the most impressive difference is all the history inside of Barcelona. Everywhere you go, there is a story behind that place.
There is always something to do for everyone, no matter what your preferences are.
I am still learning about my home, but I am glad to share what I know and what I learn everyday!

Barcelona at Night; Roman undergrounds

Hello friends!
Last night I had a great "adventure" in Barcelona. Javier & I took a tour of the "Roman underground Barcelona"! Yes! There is a whole city underground, and you can now visit it. It is at the History Museum of Barcelona. Guided tours at night, (9 pm) but only in Spanish and Catalan. But you may try to get one in another language. It costs 9 euros, which includes a guided tour and a pastry and drink at the end. It lasts about 1 hour and a half. I enjoyed it a lot!
There is still a lot of the Roman roots left in the City and surroundings. You should not miss them, especially if you are a ·History and/or architecture nut"

We have the best view!

OK, so we admit to it! WE RAE SPOILED! While everyone who comes to Barcelona takes a day to visit Sagrada Familia, we just have to go to the roof to see it! And yes, we admit to it! We do not appretiate it as much as we should! With bussy lives, it is really hard to take haf and hour, go up there and sit and relax and observe its progress.
We do take our guests to seee it! And we do go to a Coffee shop on the other side of the Chrurch once in a while.
Now, with the Summer here, I guess we will walk much more and stop and look at it!
