Another dreams comes true On March 2008 we got to go to Vienna. This has been a dream of Nadya´s since she was 7 years old and heard the "Sound of Music" soundtrack for the first time. About 1 year later she got to see the Vienna Boy´s Choir in a concert in San Juan Puerto Rico and these guys made a mark on her life. We went to Viennafor a tournament and unfortunately for Nadya, Javi made it to Day 2 (and won some money),, so they lost their reservation to see the Choir. We were also left with only 2 days to visit, so we did not get to go to Salzburg to do the "Sound of Music" tour. But we had a great time and enjoyed both the tourmanet celebrated at UNO City, and the 2 days we had to see the city. We hope to go back soon and finish the tour, but for now Nadya.s dream was mostly acomplished. |
| | Hope to go back! Hello everyone!
We went to Japan and can´t wait to go back. This was probably one of our top 3 trips ever!!!!!!!!!! |
VT Meeting; April 2005 Our first VT Meeting was GREAT! Only 7 of us showed up, but it was one of those great experiences we will never forget. WE met at Zurich Bar in the heart of Plaza Catalunya, a common meeting place, where we had a drink. Then we went to a restaurant where we spent 4 hours TALKING! And I could have stayed 4 more, but everyone had plans for the following day. We hope to keep in touch with Isabeep, davidlop, Belsaita, Silvia and Xavi (don?t have their member names on hand).
Thank you guys for a GREAT TIME! | | | USi, XTARAFA, Davidlop, silviamb, Isabeep, Belsait |

| | Happy 2005! YES! We still owe pictures from our lasts few travels (San Francisco, Marseille) and have a couple of new one to add (Paris and Orlando). We have started our "new project"; our lives together have been blessed before God, our family and friends. We have renovated love, energy, and new hopes. We wish you all receive a little bit of all of that from our pictures and get through them a bit of our positive energy to go on. Cheers from Barcelona! |
Meet us I was born in Puerto Rico, then moved to Minnesota, Chicago and now, Barcelona. YESSS!!! I love it! He (is my husband) was born in Barcelona. We travel around almost every weekend, even if it is to see a small town near us. But once a month, or so, we get to travel away to a card tournament (we met in Chicago when he was attending a Pro-Tour) . We have a deal: for each day he plays, I get 2 days for tourism! OUR OWN STYLE: Hey guys; we will try to do things a bit different to what most members do! (Just to be different, nothing against everyone else); 1. We will not be adding the history of places we visit: you all can find that in other member pages, on the Internet, on any Tourist Guide, or at the place itself. We will save our space to our story and how we handled our trip. Hopefully someone will benefit from our experiences! 2. We will not write about laces we haven?t been to; if we say we were there, you go and then don't like it, IT?LL BE OUR Fault! No way. Besides, lying is not cool. 3. We will post our own pictures, stealing is not cool either! 4. The places we don?t remember names, we will not add. Most of the places we?ve been to are great, but we never thought we would be writing abut them, so never tool notes......sorry 5. We?ll try to be positive and write the good things, or the bad tings in a positive manner. If we had a bad experience, it does not mean you?ll have the same...... | | | May 22nd at Port Olympic restaurant |

| | ABOUT US In 1996 I suffered renal failure and vision lost due to Diabetes. In 1997 I had a kidney and pancreas transplant, and a few eye surgeries to regain a bit of my vision. After all that and a few other things that happened in my life during the same time, I went into a deep depression that I came out of thanks to the help pf my family and friends, and without even looking, Javi came into my life. Today I can say I am happier than I have ever been in my life. I have found the best person I have ever met and he accepts me as I am, with what I have. During my relatively short life, I have met all kinds of people; the richest, the most famous, the poorest, the criminal, the jerk....but I don?t envy anyone or want any of their lives. I have tried to learn from each one of them something. I have also tried to find the positive about my situation, and even the fact that I do have some extra barriers I have to overcome in my everyday life and in many of our trips, I LOVE MY LIFE, MY HUSBAND, my family and my friends. And I am greatful for every single chance I get to meet someone an discover a new place.....I also never forget to thank God (or al?, or Budda, or whoever you believe in) for all my blessings, all that I have, and believe it or not, all good and bad moments of my life from which I have become who I am now. |
Treat others as you wish they would treat you! That is not my own idea, I have heard it from many people, read it from many sources, but I have come to believe it is the best way to go in life. Everyone does not do the same way, and you will be hurt many times, but you will still feel good about yourself and eventually pain will become a lesson and it?ll go away. What you give others will come back to you; I did not make up that one either, and it also doesn't?t work as you mean it. But I have to say that this 2 premises have made us feel very happy about ourselves, have helped us keep friends all over the world, even if we don?t see them too often, and have made us feel proud about each other and our own selves. I hope that by acting this way, we help the world just one bit better, and that others may learn and act the same. If we pass this to just one person, that will begin our chain. And no, we are not perfect or pretend to be....we just try to follow what we think is right and as everyone else, sometimes we fail; we are humans (Thank God)! :-))) | | |
