Howth Travel Guide: 184 reviews and 587 photos

Howth is a fishing and yachting port. It is oftenly used as a resort by Dublineras as it is on the north side of the city (9.5 miles north and easily reach by subway). You can get really nice views of Dublin Bay and the surrounding mountains. You can visit the rocky bird sanctuary and the monastic island which may be reach by boat during the summer. You can visit the abbey and Baily Lighthouse or the Howth Castle which sponsors some nice gardens.

Local pubs and restaurants make it a nice and worth day trip.
