| Into the great wide open... |
A short boat ride off the north coast will take you to the island of Cayo Levantado (Bacardi Island), with its beautiful white sand beaches.
I found Paradise! The unfortunate thing is that Ionly spent a couple of hours in the best beach yet! Cayo Levantado had the cleanest, most crystalline water to speak of.
Located at the Samana pennisula. The island is so beautiful. one side is exculsive to the hotel and the other to the hundreds of day tripers.
The last boat leaves the island for the main land at 6pm and if you miss it, then you are stuck!! I would recommend a trip there, and even a few nights in the hotel which is lovely, it is pure paradise. |
