Getting TO/AROUND: If you miss the public bus and you are in a hurry to get to the airpor, take a private taxi.
They are very fast and very expensive, but in a pinch we had to do it to get to the airport.

Getting TO/AROUND: When you arrive in Marco Polo airport, go outside and take the free shuttle bus to the docks where a water taxi or public waterbus, will take you to the island of Venice. This waterbus will only tke you to major stops such as San Marco.Make sure you know which stop to get off at. You may have to switch to another public waterbus that will take you down the grand Canal, which has many stops. Ask your hotel to send you which public water bus to take and where to get off at. You will save your feet especially if you have luggage.
My husband and I got of the wrong stop, and with luggage dragging behind, we went up the bridges and down the bridges, and up, you get it.
The private water taxis are fast and fun but they will cost you about 100E. If you can afford it do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
