%cr%b%s4THE LEASCLIFF HALL%ft%c*: ROCK THE NIGHT
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: THE LEASCLIFF HALL

The leas cliff theater is kents premier venue and the only place where you can see great rock acts and legends do there stuff. since it was taken over by Appolo leisure we have started to get some really top name acts. including my favourite melodic rock band of all time ASIA , here are just a few more THUNDER, STATUS QUO, ERASURE, PAUL WELLER, REEF, THE HOLLIES, SLADE, 10cc, SQUEEZE. When you look at the photo you must think how the bloody hell can you get a band and all the people in that tiny place, well its actually built into the hillside so when you enter you go from the reception area below to a huge hall with balconys and bars overlooking the stage. I think the total capacity is around 2000 people. In the summer this is a great place to have a cool pint in the bar because of the wonderfull views over the channel.

This is my favourite place to get pissed mainly because of the prices. Wetherspoons is a chain of pubs who's main aim is to keep there prices down ( the fat cat brewerys hate this) so in folkestone where a pint of beer can cost as much as £2.60p this is well recommended. This one was once a church which was an eye sore in the town, and now has been restored and looks very impresive. So what are you waiting for go and get pissed Hahaha.

    %cr%b%s4INDIGO%ft%c*: SATERDAY NIGHT FEVER
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: INDIGO

This is Folkestone's most popular night club, so it gets very busy on a fri and sat night. You have to be 21 or over to get in but its free entry before 9pm. On the downside the indigo is a very expensive place to have a good time, drinks are costly. So when you get home try and keep your hangover for as long as possible because its cost you enough money to bye the bloody club Hehehehe.

%cr%b%s4THE BRITISH LION%ft%c*: THE OLDEST PUB IN TOWN
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: THE BRITISH LION

This i believe is Folkestones oldest pub, and is set in one of the most picturess and oldest part of Folkestone called the Bayle, with its superb church right next door and masses of oldie worldie charm. They serve some great beer and good pub grub too and its only just around the corner from the town centre, so you can get rid of your misses by sending her shopping while you spend the afternoon in the pub hahahahahahaha, hows that ladies

My family are habitual visitors to Folkestone every year during May. For the last ten years or so, The Lifeboat has been our pub of choice - can you confirm if it's still open? If you could email me at jmhashby@aol.com it would be MUCH appreciated!

The white cliffs look just great and your sense of humour is catching. Your revamped page looks very attractive. I'm sorry your favourite Rotunda is there no more. Will be back to read more.
