London is quite simply a tourists paradice, you could spend a year in this famous city and still not see it all. The landmarks of London are endless and the obvious favorites like Buckingham palace, Tower bridge, Big Ben, and the houses of parliment are still on the top of any tourists list but there is so, so, much more. My best tip to see London if time is short is to hop on a BIG RED BUS thats the actual name of the company. You can buy a ticket that will enable you to see and photo some of the major sights of London in one day on the top of an open foof, double decker bus, also this ticket will allow you to get on and off any of these buses at any time of the day, so its a must for any v.t. fan. obviously there is only so much you can see from the top of a bus. If you have a little more time please visit the national history musium, in my opinion this is the best and my favourite attraction in the city but unfortunatly no photos. The best advice i can give you on your visit is to allow as much time as you can when you visit and make a plan of where to go, and stick to it. Oh and i nearly forgot, bring plenty of money with you IT AINT CHEAP. |

amandajayne81 Sat Jul 19, 2008 08:49 UTC Some helpful and amusing tips. Thanks. | TheWanderingCamel Wed Dec 19, 2007 06:49 UTC A good whistle-stop tour of some of London's famous sights. I'm glad I wasn't on that bus! A Routemaster no doubt, I wonder if a bendy bus could do it or would it dip in the middle. leyle | Bilimari Thu May 31, 2007 03:04 UTC Oh my, hope things are ok there. I look forward to your e-mail. Btw, can you do something about that GBP/US$ exchange rate? Too expensive to go there now. :( | Callavetta Mon Jun 5, 2006 19:43 UTC Cliffie, you're scaring my friends from visiting London! It's not THAT expensive. There are tons of free things to do; museums, parks, just walking around London! You can eat cheaply, sort of. If you don't mind sleeping on park benches....... |
