Bitez really is a fantastic place to holiday, out of all the places i have visited in Turkey, this remains the best by far. You could not wish for a better beach, its shallow for a long way out so the kids can play safe in the sea. Bitez is only a short dolmus ride away from the large seaside resorts of Gumbet and Bodrum so you can have the best of both worlds, quiet Bitez or party mad Bodrum. Bitez is also hot on water sports and it has one of the best windsurfing schools in the world. So what are you waiting for, see you in Bitez in sep *********************** LOVELY TUGUTREIS I have also included Turgutreis in these pages because its not yet a destination on the v.t. travel map. Turgutreis is located on the Bodrum peninsula and is roughly 30 to 45 mins away form Bodrum, this pritty little seaside village is very simlier to Bitez. Its a good family resort and not too noisy because you havn't got all the bars and nightclubs like Bodrum, its got its own marina which has just been built so getting a boat trip around the bays is easy. The biggest market on the Bodrum peninsula is also in Turgutreis which is on a saterday so don't miss that one |

It will spoil your idea of Turkish beaches being good. Mind you, you've done a good job selling the place. (Try Port Stephens if you ever get over here) | Anchovy56 Mon Sep 18, 2006 20:47 UTC The most important thing I learned in prison is to never drop the soap whilst in the men's shower... | scottishvisitor Sat Aug 26, 2006 09:57 UTC I love quiet seaside villages = looks like a very relaxing spot to enjoy the sunshine |
