THE SISTER TOWN OF MARMARIS

Icmeler is set in a lovely position just 8 miles from the bustling town of Marmaris, like Marmaris it used to be a sleepy little Turkish fishing village untill tourism made its mark on the landscape forever. Icmeler is quieter than its neighbour with a wider beach as well and with mountains covered with pine trees in the background which makes for a great holiday destination

Cons:The beach is crammed full of sun beds with little room to move
In a nutshell:A nice resort but not a place i would revisit

Walking along the beach and stopping off at bars along the way.....now that sounds like my kinda holiday Cliffe!! :o) Cheers xx

Your impressions are very similar to mine. I liked gardens and surroundings as well as great choice of beach/sport activities but it's crowded resort, indeed!

Cliff, Icmeler does indeed look like a pretty little spot to soak up some sunshine! Too bad that you found it so crowded though. Can't say that I blame you for hopping the bus, a 6-mile walk in that heat sounds like trouble to me!
