These pages are mostly about the Dim river which flows through a pritty little town called Manavgat and then on to the sea, but the river actually starts its journey way, way, inland at a town called Konya which is located 200 kilometres away. The river has been very important to this area and the farmers for hundreds of years where they have irrigated the water to grow there crops. Manavgat is a typical local town which only comes to life in the summer when thousands of tourist like myself come flooding in, i suspect in the winter when all the tourists have gone home the locals give a sigh of relief and can get back to normal lol. There are 2 main reasons for visiting Manavgat, one is the lovely waterfalls with really fast running white water and the other is for the countless boat trips that head down the river to the sea

Beautiful pictures and some enjoyable tips :-) I liked the waterfalls as I was out of season there and in the early morning --> no people just we two matcrazies ;-)
Stunning scenery.
A cruise down the River Dim looks like a first-class holiday excursion to me! Watching the scenes passing slowly by as you sip on a cold one! Great photos Cliff!
Another interesting spot in Turkey that I knew nothing about. Beautiful scenery via your fine photographs.
Great pictures and tips! I think the boat trip was wonderful.
Sounds like you had a nice day going down the river on the boat! I like the Turkish ice cream - dondurma.
It looks lovely Cliff, but where's a pic of you in your new hat??
Cliff, I enjoy your commentary throughout your pages. Great photos on this page. I would have loved to try the ice cream. Kat
