There is no star category hotel in Ladakh. Due to the dream-like short season of Ladakh no one has yet dared to invest huge money in building Big hotels in Ladakh.
The best accommodation avaiblable are the "A" Class hotels and second on the line are the "B" Class hotels. But the family run guest houses nestled in green oasis are nice and comfotable to stay and the prices are good too. The only dissadvantage is that most of the guest houses only serve breakfast, so one has to walk out to the town (within 1-3 Kilometers) for dinner and lunch to restaurents.
"A" Category hotels charges about 66 US$ with all the meals for a double roomand Guest Houses charges US$ 3 to US$ 25per night with break-fast.
