The sand and surf in Cozumel are absolutely amazing. You can find pristine, empty beaches if you're prepared for a walk or you can relax at one of the many resorts on the island. Either way, you can find your own slice of heaven.

It's amazing that we loved Cozumel so much. I think most would run for the hills. We were sunburnt beyond belief the first day, hurricane rains hit the second and followed for the next two, we both got food poisoning from the guacomole at the time share, and our flight home was cancelled so we were forced to sleep in the airport. Despite all that, we still had some wonderful times. This is a picture of Justin and the spectacular view of the sunset from our room. Yes, we will go back.

Another beautiful sunset. I'm hard pressed to remember a place with such beautiful colors at dusk.

Pros and Cons

Pros:The locals truly complete the experience. Some of the best service I've ever experienced!!
Cons:One word of advice ... avoid the guacomole!!

Cool place. I just got back from there a couple of days ago. Stayed at the days inn. I prefer the other side of the island. CHEN RIO has excellent seafood. Had 4 lobster tails there. Ruins of San Gervasio was a pleasant surprise.
