35th Birthday - Kaanapali, Maui
Thank you to everyone for the many wonderful birthday wishes!! It was indeed one of my best ever ... relaxing AND exploring on the beautiful island of Maui. I will do my best to update the site with new pictures of this amazing trip soon. Again, thank you to everyone for remembering what turned out to be such a special day for me.

I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.

Thanks to everyone for stopping by. VT has provided me with the opportunity to meet many wonderful new friends around the world and I hope that you are lucky enough to have the same experience.

I am an avid traveler and have so much that I still would love to see. I take great delight in meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. The more I see, the greater my desire to be educated and have my horizons broadened.

My travels in 2002 included England, Denmark, France, Mexico and the Carribean (I love the beach!). During the second half of 2003 I completed an amazing solo six month backpacking tour of Europe visiting Belgium, Austria, Germany, Italy, France, England, Scotland, Ireland and the Netherlands. I had no strict travel plans ... just see as much as I could before the money ran out. It was an unbelievable experience that I am truly grateful for. Sadly, 2004 saw only travel within the US as I've been trying to fatten up the bank account again for the next trip to the Eastern block countries. 2005 started out though with a bang as I visited the land down under for the first time. Australia now has a piece of my heart and I hope to return someday soon.

I am currently updating the site with pictures from my travels so please bear with me as I add photos and explanations ... not always at the same time!

In the meantime, if you are visiting my page and would like any information about visiting Texas or Dallas, please just let me know or visit my Dallas page. Also, if you have any tips for me for my travels, please do not hesitate to email me.

Cheers!
Camille

Taking the plunge on my 31st birthday!!
Just a little tidbit about me ... I made a promise to myself when I turned 30 that I would do something each year on my birthday from that point forward that would push the envelope for me ... make me feel alive. On my 31st birthday, I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane at 14,000 feet (see my funny face in the pic). On my 32nd, I was on a solo backpacking tour of Europe (spent my birthday in Edinburgh). My 33rd saw my commitment to totally change my life-style and career and I am now residing in Chicago and taking a huge career risk that I hope will change my life forever. My 34th birthday is approaching fast and I'm still unsure about "the great event". Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated so please email me if you have any creative thoughts. Thanks!
P.S. Yes, that's me in the pictures ... both blonde and brunette. Trying to determine who really does have the most fun. I'll let you know when I decide! (Although I have to say, I'm starting to believe that the saying is true!)

One last thing ....

To know me is to know that I have a tremendous soft spot in my heart for dogs. They truly are one of God's most perfect creations. Not only do they give us unconditional love, they also teach us many things about life. One of the best things I've learned from my furry friends is to laugh. It is the secret to a happy life. And they've given me many reasons to. Here are just a few shots of my new puppy, Duke. I will change them periodically in hopes that they will bring smiles to you too.

Well, I see that you have a golden retriever. I had one too. He passed away this year when I was in Brazil. I was really sad that night when I got this message from my parents. Peter
