Majorca From The Clouds
WELCOME TO THE ISLAND OF MAJORCA

MAJORCA IS AN ISLAND OF CONTRASTS FROM MODERN RESORTS TO WHITEWASHED, COBBLESTONED VILLAGES.

Food wise, Majorca boasts dishes of its own and there are plenty of restaurants to try them in! Soups, Fish stews, and Suckling Pig are some of the delicious dishes on offer, one of the best desserts to try is creme catalan, which basically is a rich creme caramel custard MMMMMMMMMMMMM ! The resort of Puerto Pollensa is known for having the best fish restaurants, always serving freshly caught that very same day fish, Cala d'Or has alot of good restaurants so be sure them all. Whilst you're over there why not try Hierba, a local drink tasting like aniseed and herbs, Different!
Shopping in The Local Market
Majorca is an island of contrasts, ranging from very large modern resorts to the old whitewashed, cobbled stoned villages.
Palma, the capital is one of the most cosmopolitan cities on the mediterranean. Its quite a flat area so makes it ideal for walking, passing the shops, cafes, and endlesss bars as you go by, its quieter in the winter months than in the summer, but this is the same with most holiday destinations
There are lots of fantastic beaches to choose from, so its worth visiting more than one. They can range from sandy coastlines up in the north to unspoilt pine shaded coves in the east. Puerto Pollensa has natural sandy beaches whilst Alcudia has a large sheling beach which is very safe for children. Cala Millor, Cala Bona, Cala d'Or, Sa Coma and C'an Picafort all have smaller beaches with soft fine sand, these are all on the islands picturesque East coast. Cala Bona (which is an old fishing village) and Cala Millor are both linked with a pedestrian walkway / promenade Magaluf and Palma Nova have white sandy beaches, the bay of Magaluf sits right next to Palma Nova, here there are plenty of shops and supermarkets to browse round.
One of The Many Beautiful Beaches
MAJORCA OFFERS EXCELLENT VALUE AND HAS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. SUPERB BEACHES, FANTASTIC SCENERY AND A GREAT VARIETY OF RESORTS

Nikki, Hope your New Year is starting out right. Thought I'd kick off 2005 by handing out some ratings to my friends. Great pages!
