The huge Batu Caves are the best known attraction in the vicinity of K.L. The caves are in a towering limestone formation and were little known until about 100 years ago. To reach it, one has to climb 272 steps, (each step is painted with a number so you can count them). I enjoyed climbing the steps you get to see many monkeys on your way up,,they will be delighted to be fed with bananas or nuts:D or even just to take a photo of them;-) You will have to purchas a ticket at the site,it costs 15 RM for adults and 8 RM for children over the age of 5. You will also get an audio device to listen to when you reach up. Now there is a huge statue is being bulit next to the stairway of a Goddess. Check my KL travel Albums for more pictures of the caves.*

If you wish to visit the Petronas twin towers you would have to get up really early in the morning(8:00AM)and purchace the tickets, though they`re for free but the Q is really long, but luckly very fast. the visit is only for the 41st floor at the sky bridge conecting the two towers together. The elevators are one of the fasts,it takes only a second per floor. each group of visitors are offerd 15 minutes for a visit. Persoanlly I liked the view from the Menara better. This picture was taken a little after the sun set..isn`t it just wonderful?! Check my twin towers travel albums for more pictures*

This tower was almost finished when we last visited KL.in 1995,but it was not open to the public yet. In year 2004, I have visited it with my husband and kids, it is 421 meters and 94 meters above sea level high which makes it one of the tallest towers in the world. The word menara is also Arabic which means Tower. The view from above is amazing, even better than the KLCC twin tower.

KL's Chinatown is a crowded colourful melange of signs, shops, activity and noise!!The central section, Jalan Petaling, is a frantically busy market that is closed to traffic. It is most spectacular at night, when the combination of street stalls, food, haggling and bright lights makes impressions on all five senses. best visited by night,it`s too hot to visit by day!

quilfaitbeau Thu Nov 29, 2007 06:03 UTC Chinoz KLCC, the indoor is also a smoking area. The food and ambience is really good, but the service and the attentiveness of the staff has declined. I like the place very much but thanks to the staff, I have lost my mood to even think about going there. | benazer Sat Sep 8, 2007 22:45 UTC What a beautiful page on KL,would love to go there some day. | Azri_Azmi Sun Nov 12, 2006 07:03 UTC A great KL page and tips.
