My stay in Vegas was quite different than the traditional trip over here!!

I have spent almost a week attending the Black Hat briefings and trainings. This is now a well known and quite expensive conference mainly about computer and network security.
I've attended the Defcon as well, quite different!! The BH is mostly for well established corporate and the event take place in the prestigious Caesar's palace. The Defcon is mostly free and more of a wannabe-hacker gathering in a 'not-so-great' hotel in the suburbs.
I've been quite deceived by both events but at least, I've seen Vegas!!

More than a year later what do I still remember ?

* The heat!! Vegas in the summer is hot!! ...at least once you get out of the hotels and casinos!

* The Bellagio fountains! I was staying at the Alladin right in front and my room had a view on the strip! Each time there was this loud noise of water falling from a great height, I knew the show was taking place and could just have a look through the window.

* The hotels and casinos! They don't know what to invent to look the greatest. The Bellagio and his fountains. Paris, his Eiffel tower and the awesome indoor village. Venitia and the gondoles! Alladin and the shopping galery. New York, New York and the roller coaster,...

* The gamblers! Completely crazy! Any time of the day or the night, they are there, staring at those machines!
The most impressive was going to attend the training or conference in the early morning! Even then, there was still a couple of them having spent the night there!

* Gambling! I'm not a big fan but it would have been sad to be there and not having tried once! I've spent a couple of bucks on video-pocker. The result : I've lost the money but enjoyed the time and got a couple of free beers...

* No, no, no, not the bunny hole! Anything that happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas !!
