This is for sure the main symbol of the city... The picture has been taken from the Sausalito side of the bridge, the usual viewpoint was closed but if you take the small road on the right, you will arrive to a small place without any tourist, only a couple of fishmen...

This is trully amazing this cathedral has been built in the 20th century. Based on ND de Paris, this one is indeed made of concrete. However once you enter, you really have the feeling to be in one of these old multy-centenary european cathedrals.

If, as I did, you are wondering where this name comes from, this is simply the name of the person who provided the money to build it… You can get to the top of the tower thanks to a lift. You would have a nice view from the city but unfortunately you would have to take your pictures through a glass.

If you don’t stay in Grant Avenue but indeed take the Alleys between Grant Avenue, Stockton street and Washington street, you would get a more authentic view from Chinatown.

This is the other bridge from the city. Much less known, it is indeed longer. The first part of the bridge joins SF to Treasure Island. From this island, you can have a wonderful view of the Financial district once the night has fallen…

Pay attention, if you are too fast, you could think you are taking a picture of the Mission ;-) You are not!! This is indeed the "new" basilica built in 1918 after the old one had been destroyed by the 1906 earthquake

You'll find the grave of many San Francisco pioneers in this charming old cemetery: lots of Irish, one french, some native people,... This is definitely worth spending a couple of minutes in this quiet place...
