This building from the beginning of the 18th century has been a restaurant and a pub for centuries. The menu still propose typical game-dishes...
At walking distance from Castle hill, this is a very authentic restaurant with quality food...Even better, the prices there are far from the over-priced restaurant of the touristic area...
    A definite must-do...

Favorite Dish: I had venison, totally unusual for me but delicious...

Hild Etterem - Hild Restaurant: Typical hungarian restaurant
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Hild Etterem

Typical hungarian food at very low price in a nice atmosphere... Nothing more to ask...
...or maybe just one detail, wine at the right temperature!! Even the worse red wine can be drinkable if it is not warm...

Favorite Dish: In Hungary, the goulash is indeed a soup. However I'm still unsure if we have to eat it as a starter or as the main dish...
We choose the starter way... First Goulash and then Hungarian pork...
Well, when we got the 'soup', it was served in a half-liter bowl... then the pork plate was quite impressive too...
I still don't know if Hungarians use to eat a lot or if we made a big mistake, all I can say is that I had quite some difficulties to finish my plate ;-)

Pest-Buda Restaurant: Touristic place to avoid
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Pest-Buda

The food was not bad but overpriced (for the city) and in very little quantities...
Even worse musician were playing gipsy music at each table and begging for money : some people may like it, i did not!! (even if I love gipsy music)

Favorite Dish: If you are in the area and looking for food, rather walk for 15 min to Aranyszarvas Vendéglö, no comparison possible, day and night !!!!
