Be careful, there are two different Hilton hotels in Vienna. One is located in the city center, close to the Stadtpark, while this one is a bit further close to the stadium and the Prater...
There is however a brand new metro line connecting the Stadion to the city center (at least something useful from Euro2008). The metro is indeed called U-Bahn and the station is 500m away from the hotel.
There is nothing really outstanding regarding this hotel, the architecture is ok, this is a massive building but it doesn't look too much like it. The room was decent, indeed quite big but a bit dated. However I've really been disappointed! I could have been staying in a room overlooking the Danube river but they assigned me a room in front of the busy road! Even on a high floor, it could become quite noisy in the early morning!
Wireless connectivity to the internet is provided and it works with iPass.
Unique Qualities: I particularly enjoyed the restaurant, the prices are reasonable and the food is gorgeous. Even if the service was particularly slow at some time, some of the staff members were really nice!
The breakfast buffet was definitely what you would expect from a hotel of this category.
Another great feature of the hotel is its location, even if it's quite far from the center, it's just in front of the Donau insel, a 21km-long artificial island build on the Danube. This is a real paradise for bikers and skaters...I had taken my inline skates with me and enjoyed several great rides over there!
