Definitely not for tourism! Well, I had no choice, my company sent me over there for two weeks!
Since London is getting more and more expensive, companies tend to move out... That is mainly the purpose of MK, this is a brand new town full of IT companies!
Silverstone is not far neither. I don't know if this is related but imo people were driving pretty fast (or maybe, that was just me, first time I was driving on the wrong side of the road ;-) |
So what can we do? In two words, shopping and skiing! The town center is indeed a huge mall. Close to it, you will find a really impressive indoor ski slope (Xscape). |
Is that all? Not really but you'd better know some local person to show you the nice places. You can find some nice pubs even in the centre. MK has been built around several old villages, I particularly liked Stony Stratford. There is definitely an other atmosphere than in the town center! if you have a car, the countryside is beautiful! |
