The most difficult slope in the area... - Avoriaz
The most difficult slope in the area...

La "Chavannette" also called "le Mur suisse/d'Avoriaz"...

Starting from Pas de Chavanette (2212m), this is one of the slopes between Avoriaz and the Swiss area.
Quite amazing, you can see people using the chairlift in both direction...
Officially, this is not a black slope anymore, you can still find it on the map but just as an 'itinerary'

Electronic ski pass - Avoriaz
Electronic ski pass

A great feature: All the Portes du Soleil ski runs are equipped with a "hands free" access control system. The electronic checkpoints reads the pass remotely, even if it is in your pocket, and automatically activates the opening of the turnstiles.
This involves purchasing a rechargeable card but this is definitely worth the few extra euros...

Blue slopes - Avoriaz
Blue slopes

The blue slope from the Fornet chairlift are pretty easy to start: not too easy, not too difficult, they are pretty long and you can easily do them several times in a row;

Red slopes

The red slopes going down to the 'Lindarets' chairlifts is pretty nice one : pretty long, a nice slope, a few bumps to practice...
Thanks to the lift you could easily do it several times in a row...

Black slopes - Avoriaz
Black slopes

From Avoriaz, take the ' Lac Intrets' chairlift:

If you are crazy or really good, "la Combe du Machon" is for you... This is similar to "Le Mur d'Avoriaz": steep and full of bumps...

Starting from the same point, much easier and much more fun imho is " La Coupe du Monde"...
