Le Gollet - Les Avanchers - Valmorel
Le Gollet

If you are staying in Valmorel, this is the last slope to be sunny in the afternoon...
In fact, it is sunny most of the day, there are two runs off the ski-lift. A black one and a red one! The slope is the same for both, the only difference is that the red run is groomed while the black one is not...
Can be quite busy at the end of the day...

Not so obvious to arrive at the bottom oh this chairlift!! The only way is to go through tedious flat runs (Col - Route du Tour).
However once you are there, think twice before taking this chairlift, the only way to get down is take eiter a black or a red run!!
The red runs is indeed quite dark! If the first part is relatively easy, you then end up on a steep slope full of bumps.
At some points you could even consider the black slope to be easier! However, this one start with a very steep start followed by plenty of bumps and a norrow runs to finally finish by a long slope full of bumps as well....

Le mur - Les Avanchers - Valmorel
Le mur

This is a nice steep slope allowing to go back to Valmorel without using the boring ski-lift called 'le Frene'.
At hte time we were there however, there was a big stone directly in the middle of the runs that was not correctly indicated!!

To arrive here from the center of the St Francois resort, take the ski lift called 'Lune Bleue' - Blue Moon. Then ski down an easy blue runs to take an other ski-lift called 'Rocher Blanc' - White Rock.
From there, take the blue run (Jonction 2305) to finally reach the last ski lift called Cote 2305 !!
From the top, you can directly go back to Valmorel or instead ski a couple of time on a funny red runs called 'le Renard'.

La Madeleine - Les Avanchers - Valmorel
La Madeleine

This is the main junction between the two valleys. If you want to ski from Valmorel to St Francois de Longchamp, you don't have the choice you will have to pass through this point....
Several lifts and many runs are originating from here.
To go back to Valmorel, you will most probably have to use 'les Frenes', two long and boring ski lifts.
A much more interesting way is to come back via a slope called 'Le Mur'.
