"The Twice Brewed Inn"

Maybe not exactly a Tourist Trap tip but I thought it might well be worthwhile relating the only Bad experience that I had whilst booking up the accommodation for the walk.
This was at "The Twice Brewed Inn" – I emailed them to enquire about the availability of rooms and they replied saying that they had accommodation available for our chosen date, But there were at this point 3 of us doing the walk and the rooms available were both twins. The price was £55 per room which I thought was quite reasonable, The trouble was that when I emailed them back to say that I was happy with the price for two of us sharing one twin bedded room and to ask if they offered a reduction for one person occupying the second on his own the reply I received was a Categoric No – Not even a slight reduction to take into account that they would only be providing one breakfast (Included in the £55 per room quoted)
So as I wasn’t happy with this reply I took our business elsewhere and was Pleased that I did because we ended up staying at Burnhead which was a Delight !!
So, I would recommend that you gave The Twice Brewed Inn a miss, Especially if you are also in a group that happens to consist of an uneven number.
