Favorite Thing: Gauteng,Egoli , Johannesburg or plain Joburg, home to themajor hubs of Johannesburg and Pretoria, is South Africa's smallest ,richest, most urbanized and frenetic province. Although Gauteng is very urbanized, there is much you can do to get away from the hustle and bustle. On a Sundaymorning you can watch a performance by dancing Lipizzaner ,the only show outside Austria. Do take the time to visit the Cradle on Humankind, other options include visiting the Magaliesberg with its endless array of activities, take a hot air balloon ride, or paddle on the Crocodile River, go horseback riding among rhino'sand antelope, visit a diamond mine ,or try a tandem parachute jump. Of course when in Gauteng never pass up the opportunity to go shopping, visit artgalleries and explore the city's rich cultural heritage, and sample the many coffee shops, restaurants ,pubs and clubs.
