The Reserve, founded in 1992, consists of 30,000 acres of Lowveld Acacia bush and open savanna grass land and all surrounding the lush river. Four twelve bed camps have been build along shady banks of the river. Inyati is set in 65 000 hectares on the banks of the Sand River, adjacent to the Kruger National Park. Ecologically re-established clearings allow close-up game viewing and photography. The river patio overlooks the riverine vegetation, natural habitat for elephant, hippo and leopard.

The 10 air-conditioned en-suite chalets have walk-in dressing rooms. Modern open Land Rovers are used for game viewing in search of the Big Five.
