    • Restaurant Name: YING THAI.

    A Thai meal at Port Alfred’s Ying Thai, a private home where Ying cooks for about 20 people on Friday and Saturday nights. Spring rolls, soup, three main courses, a chocolate sponge cake and fresh fruit for just R50, with various bits on the side. Ying's food is a "delicately herby" rather than "fiery hot" version of Thai cuisine.

     Kowie Grand Hotel is now a college - no longer an hotel.
