  • We woke up early to have a chance to see famous changing guards in buckingham palace, but we didn't believe what we saw. It was Queen Elizabeth II and George Bush checking guard of honors. Wow, we were excited. Of course, it's not up close, it was about 100 metres away. We were also interviewed by BBC newsreporter! Security was all over. Heard that they spent 5 million pound for this visit. All from taxpayers of Londonites.

  • This is famous the Mall, en route to Buckingham Palace. It was decorated with American and British flags for Bush Visit. The first full state visit to UK by American President.

  • A ride on British Airways' London Eye is a must. We were lucky that we did not have to wait to line up. We just jumped in right after we bought the tickets. I heard that people sometimes wait for half a day for the queue. And, it is magnificient. You will see River Thames, House of Parliament and a bit of Buckingham Palace from the top. It's gorgeous at night as the pic.

  • During the walk from Buckingham Palace to Parliament, we walked pass St. James' Park. It's a very nice park with many giant dugs and birds.

It's nicer when trees turn colorful during spring.

  • Famous St. Paul Cathederal. It was first built thousand year ago. It costs 8 Pound to get inside. It is actually near the Millienium Bridge. You can visited both at the same tube stop.

River Thames: River Thames from St. Paul

  • If you are young at heart (and...body) to climb up 400 steps to the top of St.Paul Cathederal (sorry, no elevator allowed for visitors), you will see a great view of city of London, including River Thames. This picture spans across Wesminster area, and has a glimpse on British Airways' London Eye. I have to say it's worth all the pain....and the pennies.
