Having worked with several Aussies and getting bluffed all the time about how wonderful city of Sydney is (one even goes so far to name it the best city on earth), I was eager to witness for myself the accuracy of the statement.
And, within a few hours on Sydney soil, I knew it's one of a kind. With water everywhere, and splendid Opera House standing tall in the harbour, I was so impressed. Statement of the best city on earth is not too far off.
In fact, it is people and their lifestyle that add wonder to its name. People are very outgoing and focus on having fun (but, when they work, they work hard as well). People said that the more south you are in the hemisphere, the more outgoing, informal and relax. And, I think they are damn right.
I notice that Aussies pretty much like to do things collectively, unlike their counterparts in US and UK. They enjoy meeting and interfacing with others, which is kinda nice.
All in all, it's a gorgeous city, especially those people who have houses along the harbour must have been living in heaven! I reckon. |

| | I come back and forth a few times to shoot the picture of Opera House standing tall on the bank of Sydney Harbour. Got good shots in the morning, evening and at night. It truly deserves to be the most important landmark of southern hemisphere. |
