Mauritius was my base for exploring the three Mascarenes Islands. What an excellent base too. Plenty of stuff to see and easily get stuff done it was an excellent introduction to the region. The weather was beautiful the entire time I was there which I am a big hater of rain (well not really, only when I'm outside in it). Most of the people I found were friendly and helpful. Another big thing is that it is cheap, dirt cheap especially compared to the rest of the Indian Ocean. |
