The flowers are called LUPINS they grow well in poor soil.

By the way, the penguins go to those colonies only in summer (from nov. to march in Chile) during the rest of the year there are no penguins.

Hi Kelly, funny thing:your Cementerio things to to tip is nearly the same tip as my off the beaten path trip from the Algarve http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/85099/c8/6/ For us a very unusual kind of burial. Regards Michael
