Hato means pigeon and Basu is Bus. Bus Pigeon are to Tokyo like sand is to the Sahara. The oldest city tours company in Tokyo and the one offers more choices, especially if you adventure in a tour trip in Japanese language. Hato Basu will take you in 6 and half hours to all the "ad nauseum" beaten path, which are the must see in accordance to the “elite” wisdom. You will realize soon that Tokyo is big in population but small as a handkerchief (an used one!). Zojoji Temple is the chief temple of the Jodo-Buddist sect. Moved to what is now known as Shiba Koen by Tokugawa Ieyasu, the mausoleums of the Tokugawa Shoguns flank each side of the Zojoji. Hoping to usurp influence from the Buddhist temples, the rulers of Meiji Japan turned the the Shiba area into a public park.

The name of Tairo (lit. Great Elder) Naosuke Ii is linked to this Sakurada Gate of Edo Castle, where he lost his life at hands of samurai who opossed the way he managed the "opening" of the country to the growing pressure of US forces. He was the master-mind behind the Ansei Purge that almost erase all resistance to his, otherwise, weak politics towards foreign powers.This won him many enemies and from there his assasination in front of Sakuradamon. Many consider him the "Father of the Japan's Opening( to Trade)". I would argue on that fatherhood with a very convincing DNA test
