South Tanzania Safari and Beach guide

Elephants in Selous

Tanzania's wilderness reserves

Find out more about Selous Game Reserve, Ruaha National Park or hiking in Udzungwa mountains. South Tanzania has amazing wildlife viewing but still attracts less than 10% of the visitors to Tanzania - this is where to find vast open game filled spaces but very few other tourists.
See www.authentictanzania.com for more info .....
Zanzibar beach - Nungwi

Tanzania's islands and beaches

Tanzania has over 800km of coastline yet virtually no beach tourism. Huge deserted beaches at Pangani, Saadani and south of Dar es Salaam are free from beach boys and hassle. Ancient ruins at Kilwa and the Mnazi Bay marine reserve at Mikindani can be enjoyed in total privacy.
The islands of Pemba and Mafia offer world class diving in aquamarine waters but without the crowds at the Red Sea resorts.
Zanzibar is more crowded but has glorious beaches.
Where else can you enjoy a private safari in wildlife reserves larger than Ireland then relax on 15km of deserted beach - south Tanzania is still Africa's best kept secret.
