Que ciudad tan preciosa!!!

I immediately fell in love with this city...
The train ride from Salamanca to Barcelona proved to be very interesting. During the first hour or two of my journey, the people sitting with me in my compartment were obnoxious beyond belief, rolling their eyes and laughing while saying, "ahhh..I don't understand why people think we are arrogant? The people from our region (Castilla y Leon) are not arrogant at all!!" They then proceeded to put down other cities in Spain, including Barcelona, my destination. I stayed quiet until they got off the train in Burgos, then let out a sigh, thankful that they had left. I was finally alone, and four hours later, spotted a Belgian girl I knew from Salamanca. We went to the cafeteria to get drunk, and giggled as we struggled to make our way back to my compartment.
It was finally time to sleep..my friend left, I was alone...I entered a deep slumber, then awoke to a kiss from the sun. I was almost in Barcelona..a half hour to go. The anticipation nearly gave me an ulcer. After arriving in Barcelona, and taking the metro to La Rambla, I walked up the steps and entered a maddened world of smiling faces, artists, and magic. The brilliance of this city was blinding, and I had to shut my eyes, then take another look...Everything resembled a surrealistic painting, or an exciting film-so without restraint, I jumped into an upside down world and welcomed many adventures...It proved to be a very personal, special journey, a romance between the city and I..every curve of a street, every echo of the heels of my shoes delicately hitting the ground, every building I touched, added to the intimacy. It'a a city of magic. I am sure that if I ever return, my heart will beat as intensely, if not even more than it had the moment I first arrived and fell in love...
