Triple digit temperatures and the coming of Il Papa forced me to leave Dubrovnik. I flew to Zagreb and it was hot and crowded and too much of a city, after the peace of the Dalmatian Coast. So I pressed on. A 3 hour train ride took me to Lake Bled in Slovenia.
While it was still hot, something about the beautiful blue waters of the lake and the lush green mountains made me feel cool. This was a beautiful, relaxing way to spend a few days. |
