Dubrovnik, the incredible walled city

I've never been so completely blown away by a city in my life. Dubrovnik has it all. The amazing old walled city holds your gaze and refuses to let go. Normally a three star kind of gal, I splurged and stayed at the wonderful Hotel Argentina, hanging on the cliffs of the coastline. My very luxurious room had a beautiful tile balcony where I sat and gazed on the old town while the sun rose, set and worked its way across the blue, blue sky.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Not enough superlatives to describe Dubrovnik
Cons:The Croatian language could use a few vowels!

Just passing through Dubrovnik this year, en route to the airport - time for a drink at the Buzza Bar but not to sample the pleasures of that lovely hotel. Next time ...

Great tips here- the hotel looks fabulous, and Atlas tours sounds good., especially the Wine tour. Love that Buzza place, but is it safe?? Croatia seems like a good destination for future travel.

Nice to hear that Atlas Tours are a good company. Have looked at their tours, and liked them, especially the one to Montenegro. Dubrovnik is beautiful!
