Costa Rica and Monkeys

Caro Blanco Mono
When I went to Costa Rica, I had no idea where we were headed. I had heard of Manuel Antonio National Park and followed the Lonely Planet Guide from there.

I am a huge wildlife fanatic so this place was spectacular. We saw all kinds of animals: white faced monkeys, squirrel monkey, howler monkeys, huge bumblebees, scorpions, butterflies galore, leaf cutter ants, an armadillo and much more.

My favorite place was Tamarindo but I think if I had more time to explore I would have liked Montezuma just as much.
Sky Trek Bridge

Monteverde and Sky Trek Adventures

I highly recommend Sky Trek. You can soar over the canopy floors attached to a cable by a harness and not much else. Exciting and beautiful this is like no other experience I've had.
Squirrel Monkey

Manuel Antonio National Park

The pictures I had of the beach here were not that great, however the squirrel monkey was fascinating and came right up to us.

The walk into the park is beautiful, there was hardly anyone there when we went in December. We stayed at the hotel right outside of the park, it was nice but there was a colony of what I believe was cockroaches in our closet.

Pros:"This is the place for beautiful beaches, wildlife galore, good food and kind people"
Cons:"Cockroaches and lizards nesting in our residences."
In A Nutshell:"THE wildlife experience."
