Things to see | Petronas Twin Towers, KLCC Malaysia |
The Petronas Twin Towers _ 4 floors of the ultimate shopping experience as well as a selection of the best restaurants in town. For the daring...a trip up the bridge that adjoins both towers is a sight to behold (so I'm told!!) and its free. The only snag- you'll have to queue to get a place. They only allow up to 500 people a day. |
| One of the options! Tested by my son, Hamid. |
| | KLCC Playground The Twin Towers is immediately surrounded by a beautiful garden and park which connects to a playground and a wading pool for the kiddies. The playground is huge and will definitely exhaust your kids by the time they've finished. If you still have the energy, there is also a public park next to the playground and surrounding the twin towers. Beautifully landscaped gardens for those romantic walks or a running track for the overly active! Suffice to say, you'll certainly be eager to hit the restaurants and cafes that abound in the Twin towers once you've finished with the park. There are 2 food courts ( 2nd and 4th levels of Suria KLCC) and over 20-30 restaurants/cafes situated on the concourse, ground floor and the 4th floor- you'll be spoilt for choice! |
| | KL_other places to see Dataran Merdeka (Merdeka Square) -old KL. Very close to it are Central Market and Petaling Street Market where local artefacts and bargains abound. The street market is opened till 11 pm. You'll find authentic local artefacts and 'batik' in Central Market whereas those going for designer imitation watches, bags, t-shirts etc, Petaling St Market would be high on the agenda. They used to have pirate DVDs too but I believe the authority is clamping down heavily on this activity. Needless to say, chinatown isn't chinatown without 'chinese food'!! You'll have an abundance of choice and prices will vary from shop to shop or stall to stall. The ones with table-cloths on will invariably charge more than those without..lol. |

| Pros: | "Great food, great people." | | Cons: | "Mind the humidity and the lack of signs! (its getting better)." | | In A Nutshell: | "The newer futuristic Malaysia" |
