A dream of mine was always to visit Neuschwanstein Castle becuase I had seen it in the movie "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang." (Remember that?) Well, in 1999, at the age of 11, I got to go there. And it was everything I had hoped it to be. The castle was beautiful, the town was beautiful, the mountains beautiful, everything I had imagined. The castle interiors were neat, although since I had been waiting nearly an hour and a half in the hot sun waiting to get in, I was a little tired. There was also a short hike you could take to this awesome bridge across a ravine and waterfall that offers superbe views of the castle. The whole experience was extraordinary, and I hope yours was, is, or will be great too!

It was a dream of mine as well for long, and I got there just a year before you -when I was 31 ;) It sure is a marvellous castle!

Of the Castles I saw in Germany, I always thought this was my favorite. All Ludwig's castles are worth the trip to see them. Great picture, Nathan!

Great introduction. I have never seen this castle. I can't imagine why it is so popular. Perhaps it is just because a copy of it is in "Disneyland"?
