Qasr Al Kharraneh is one of the five major "desert castles" - Umayyad buildings built in the desert east of Amman for various purposes. Qasr Al Kharraneh is well-preserved and was apparently used as a caravan sarai. It is located just at the road from Amman to Azraq (right from the road). You need a car or a taxi to get there. |

Kharanah is one of the castles I hope to visit when I go to Jordan next time. It looks great! |
